Hi! I’m Matt Arciuolo
As a Board Certified Pedorthist, I specialize in biomechanics, pain management, and performance enhancement. For over 35 years I have helped athletes perform at a higher level and recover from injuries, as well as those suffering from everyday foot pain.
In 2002, I founded Footstar Orthotics in Milford, CT, a company that specializes in custom orthotics for men, women, and children. Footstar Orthotics quickly grew to statewide and then national recognition as a provider of quality, custom orthotics designed to relieve pain and improve mobility and performance.
As an industry leader in custom orthotics we had the honor of being chosen to be the orthotics provider to the U.S. Olympic Bobsled and Skeleton teams for over 10 years to help them be more explosive at the start of the race. In doing so both have earned medals wearing our orthotics.
From this, I saw the need to help athletes across all sports, helping improve performance and to reduce injuries. In 2015 I founded VKTRY and spent almost 4 years developing and patenting VKs and backing them with scientific research and studies. In 2024 we were named the Official Insole of USA Volleyball.
What makes VKTRY insoles different?… Our patented insoles use aerospace grade carbon fiber and are customized according to your gender, age, weight, shoe type and sport. VKTRY’s mission is to help protect athletes from injury and perform their best.

How are VKTRY Insoles customized for each athlete?
VKTRY Insoles are designed to be highly personalized based not only on shoe size, but also based on sport and body weight. VKs come in 5 levels of flexibility because a bigger athlete generates more ground force than a smaller athlete.
Are VKTRY Insoles comfortable?
Yes, VKTRY Insoles are very comfortable. Although the base is made of carbon fiber, the top portion of the insole is made with a softer EVA foam that supports & cushions the foot. It’s important to note that every pair needs to be broken in, which typically takes a few short days of light training. Instructions on the break-in process come inside the packaging with your order.
Are VKTRY Insoles good for my feet?
VKTRY Insoles are clinically proven to help you protect & recover from many common foot & lower-leg injuries. They are totally safe for your feet, and absorb more shock than a standard foam insole upon impact. Not only that, but they also support & stabilize the lower-body, which translates to better protection.
How do VKTRY Insoles work?
VKTRY Insoles are made with a full-length carbon fiber base plate, in which the flexibility (we call “Pro Level) comes personalized to your sport & weight. When you bend your foot to walk, run or jump, your foot is putting energy into the ground. A standard foam or plastic insole would disperse (and waste) that energy. VKTRY Insoles absorb that energy and then return back to you, similar to how a diving board or trampoline would. Athletes are proven to see greater explosiveness & ground force when wearing VKTRY, resulting in higher verticals and faster sprints.
Are VKTRY Insoles legal?
We have not heard from any governing body on VKTRY Insoles being banned in any sport or league. VKTRY Insoles are worn by amateur and professional athletes alike all over the world. It’s important to note that VKTRY Insoles are also proven to protect from injury, and no governing body would have it in their best interest to ban something that’s proven to protect their players. It’s not cheating, it’s just better technology!
