I am a runner, training every day, running about 70 miles a week. I run on soft ground or dirt, avoiding asphalt. I have been using the Gold VKTRY insoles for about three weeks now. The first impression I had was of a distinct "responsiveness" of my shoes [Salomon S-Lab Ultra 3]. Next, the impression of better hip/knee/foot alignment emerged, meaning that I felt the ride had lightened up and my legs were aligned. This impression of lighter running, oddly enough, was in contrast to a subjective feeling of greater weight in the shoes: in fact, even though they are made of carbon fiber, VKTRY insoles tend to be heavier than the insoles commonly used in running shoes. In the first few days of using the VKTRY insoles, I noticed a compression of the upper part of the big toe, evidently caused by the greater thickness of the insoles. In order to allow for the shoe/toe adjustment, I alternated the old and new insoles for a few days. I am very demanding about shoes and for many years I have been wearing Salomon S-Lab shoes for running. The Salomon/VKTRY pairing is giving me a new sense of suppleness, which I intend to keep, by continuing to use VKTRY.
