F.A.Q.
Different shoe types fit differently. For example, soccer shoes fit much more tightly than basketball shoes. We accommodate for these differences by having different foam cushions: yellow is 6mm thick, black is 4mm and red is 2mm. Because of this, it may be difficult for an athlete who plays multiple sports to move their VKs from a loose fitting shoe to a tighter fitting shoe.
VKTRY Insoles fit true to size. If you are a size 9 shoe, order a size 9/9.5 insole. VKTRY takes into account that some sports shoes fit more tightly (cleats, spikes). That's why we also ask for the sport you are playing. If any problems with fit once you receive your VKs, simply contact us and we will arrange for a free exchange. We get the size right about 98% of the time!
VKTRY Insoles are designed to be highly personalized based not only on shoe size, but also based on sport and body weight. VKs come in 5 levels of flexibility because a bigger athlete generates more ground force than a smaller athlete.
No, we do not make VKs in different widths or arch types. They have been designed to be arch agnostic and our sizes are very generous in the width. Our VKs fit most foot types and sizes, but if any issues with comfort after trying, please contact us.
We usually recommend going down. The weight level is a big factor in determining the VK’s Pro Level (flexibility). While a higher Pro Level may provide more spring, it’s very important that you are able to comfortably flex your feet for the insoles to be effective.
We recommend that you select the shoes you will be wearing your VKs in the most and choose that shoe size when selecting your VK size. Any issues with fit, please contact us and we can arrange an exchange.
We offer a 90-day Money Back Guarantee. If you are not satisfied with your VKs, please email us at info@vktry.com along with your full name and/or order number and what you did not like about the VKs. With international returns, the customer will be responsible for shipping the VKs back to our office. We strive to make all VKTRY customers, happy customers!

Performance Questions
VKTRY Insoles feature a customizable carbon fiber baseplate that captures and returns the energy you create. Regular foam insoles, found in most sneakers and cleats, can’t do this because they lack the technology to store and return energy. Instead, foam insoles absorb that energy and let it dissipate into the ground.
This is important because the energy you create powers your ability to run and jump. Losing it means losing potential speed, height, and explosiveness. VKTRY Insoles are engineered to store that energy in the carbon fiber baseplate and return it to you during push-off, helping to enhance your performance on the field or court.
The carbon fiber baseplate in VKTRY Insoles is customized to your height, weight, and sport to ensure the stiffness matches your unique energy output. This matters because the energy you create is essential for explosive movements like running and jumping, and the right stiffness helps ensure that it’s captured and returned efficiently. Athletes with higher energy output—such as heavier individuals or those in high-impact sports—require a stiffer baseplate to maximize energy return. Lighter athletes or those in less demanding sports benefit from a more flexible baseplate for precise energy transfer. This customization ensures every athlete can get the most out of their performance.
When you run or jump, your foot bends and creates energy with every step. This energy is essential because it powers your forward and upward movements. Standard foam insoles absorb most of this energy and disperse it into the ground, which limits your performance. VKTRY Insoles are designed with a carbon fiber baseplate that captures that energy at impact and stores it. During push-off, that energy is released back to you, amplifying your power, speed, and explosiveness. This energy return is what allows VKTRY Insoles to help support improved athletic performance.
Yes, findings from several independent research studies show that athletes tested increased their jump height and sprint speed while wearing VKTRY Insoles.
A study at the Parisi Speed School showed that athletes increased their vertical jump height by over 1.5 inches and their broad jump distance by 4.2 inches while wearing VKTRY Insoles. At Southern Connecticut State University, participants improved their vertical leap by an average of 1.1 inches, with the top 30% gaining up to 2.54 inches.
Similarly, a study conducted at Barwis Methods found that broad jump distances improved by an average of 4 inches. The most elite athletes in the top 10% achieved gains of up to 11 inches.
Yes, VKTRY Insoles were designed with comfort as a top priority. VKTRY Insoles consist of three carefully engineered layers that work together to balance performance and comfort. The bottom layer is the carbon fiber baseplate, which provides the stiffness necessary for energy return. The top layer is made of high-density closed-cell foam, which adds durability and absorbs impact, protecting your feet during intense activity. Sandwiched between these layers is the middle layer, crafted from low-density closed-cell foam, which provides flexibility and a soft, cushioned feel for maximum comfort.
This multi-layer design ensures that VKTRY Insoles deliver the energy return and support athletes need while remaining comfortable for all-day wear, even during high-impact sports.
Yes, VKTRY Insoles are legal in all sports leagues. This is because they don’t create any new energy; they simply store and return the energy you already generate. By enhancing what’s naturally produced by the athlete, VKTRY Insoles align with league rules, ensuring fair play for all competitors.
Yes, VKTRY Insoles can help improve traction by stabilizing your foot within the cleat. The carbon fiber baseplate enhances alignment and reduces unnecessary foot movement, allowing for better energy transfer and ground contact. This added stability supports sharper cuts, faster sprints, and more controlled pivots.
Injury Prevention Questions
VKTRY Insoles are designed to help protect against shin splints by providing advanced arch support and absorbing impact forces. Shin splints often occur when repetitive stress is placed on the tibia, leading to inflammation and discomfort. VKTRY Insoles are engineered to redistribute pressure evenly across the foot and reduce the strain on the tibia. The carbon fiber baseplate and foam layers work together to absorb shock and support better alignment, helping to minimize the conditions that contribute to shin splints.
VKTRY Insoles are designed to help protect against injuries like ACL, MCL, and meniscus tears by improving stability and alignment in the lower body. These injuries are often caused by excessive strain on the knees during sudden stops, pivots, or landings. The carbon fiber baseplate in VKTRY Insole absorbs and redistributes shock, while the ergonomic shape enhances lower-body alignment. Together, these features are designed to help reduce stress on knee ligaments and support safer movement patterns.
VKTRY Insoles are designed to help protect against stress fractures by absorbing shock and reducing localized pressure on the bones. Stress fractures occur when repetitive impact creates small cracks in the bones, often due to improper force distribution. VKTRY Insoles are engineered to distribute pressure evenly across the foot and cushion each step with their multi-layer design. This helps minimize the repetitive strain that can lead to stress fractures over time.
VKTRY Insoles are designed to help alleviate plantar fasciitis pain by providing structured arch support and cushioning. Plantar fasciitis is caused by excessive strain on the plantar fascia, the band of tissue running along the bottom of the foot. VKTRY Insoles support the arch to reduce this strain while absorbing impact forces with their carbon fiber baseplate. This combination helps relieve tension on the plantar fascia and promotes greater comfort during activity.
VKTRY Insoles are designed to help alleviate knee and lower-leg pain by improving alignment and absorbing impact forces. Knee and lower-leg pain often result from repetitive impact or improper movement patterns that place stress on these areas. The carbon fiber baseplate and foam layers in VKTRY Insoles work together to reduce strain on the knees and lower legs by redistributing pressure and cushioning each step. This support helps athletes move more comfortably during and after activity.
VKTRY Insoles are designed to help promote recovery after injury by reducing strain on vulnerable areas and enhancing alignment during movement. Injuries often require minimizing repetitive stress on joints and soft tissues to heal effectively. The shock-absorbing design of VKTRY Insoles helps to protect injured areas, while their ergonomic shape supports proper movement patterns.
VKTRY Insoles are designed to absorb shock through their carbon fiber baseplate and multi-layer construction much like coming down on a diving board. Shock from high-impact activities can strain joints and soft tissues, contributing to overuse injuries. The carbon fiber baseplate redirects impact forces away from key pressure points, while the foam layers cushion each step to minimize strain. This design helps protect against the repetitive stress associated with athletic activity.
