VKTRY Insoles Help Athletes Improve Biomechanics and Running Efficiency.
In early 2017, soon after James Creps was hired by the Boston Red Sox as their senior physical therapist, he met Matt Arciuolo and Steve Wasik at Spring Training. The pair were in Florida to show off their new performance product: carbon fiber insoles that through an innovative design aimed to improve energy return and efficiency, essentially helping athletes run faster and jump higher.
Their company, VKTRY Gear, was founded in 2015 and launched its consumer product a year later. But the idea dates back to 2005, when founder Arciuolo, a certified pedorthist trained to fit, fabricate and modify footwear, was working with Team USA’s Olympic.
